I have a problem, my van whether it is hot or cold tends to run sluggish. what i mean is, if i leave it parked there is a chance it will quit running. also when i am driving it sometimes when i come to stop it wants to die. oh one more thing, if i prevent it from dying, it dosen't really want to shift. i have changed the plugs, wires and ran a can of berrymans through it. thanks

Any time I hear of an idle problem, my first reaction is always "Clean the Idle Air Control valve!".
Your IAC is bolted to the throttle body (look for what moves under the hood when someone presses the gas pedal), and has a connector with two wires attached to it. The valve is easy to remove, and cleans up nicely with a quality fuel injector cleaner (Berryman's is my favorite). Since it only takes 5 or 10 minutes to do this and costs almost nothing, it's a worthwhile first step.
Later edit - A nice Windstar IAC cleaning procedure:

yes the cel is on. i tested it with obd reader and it gave me o2 sensor codes.however with the reading i have done here, i began to doubt they were the culprit. thanks
