Engine Interchange... hmm...

Hey all... I've got a '94 SL2 5 speed down here, runs great, great trans, no noises, etc, etc. Its a rollover. I'm looking to buy another car with a bad engine, trans, whatever to make a driver out of. I was wondering does anyone know the interchange on these, like what should I be looking for? Can I put my twin cam engine in an SL1? Can I put my engine in a newer body car (96 and newer?) Can I put my engine in an automatic car with no major complications, (I understand changing flywheel but anything else?) Any help would be appreciated... Thanks guys!

Your 94 motor will pretty only straight swap into another 93or 94 Sx2 car. 91 and 92 have a different crank sensor reluctor ring and 95 and up have electronic EGR valves. Your options widen a bit if you swap the PCM and wiring along with the engine. There are write ups out there on converting Sx1 cars to twin cam.
