94 SL2 Radio error 01

I bought a factory replacement radio with a CD player for my same year Saturn. Everything works OK but the CD player. When I put in a CD, I immediately get an error ( Err 01 ) on the display screen. Anybody have an idea what this error is or suggestion?

burned cd????some factory cd players can only read certain burned cd types/files....did you see a screw it said to remove on the top???most have it to keep the head from spinning during shipment.

No difference in the CD being used, also no screw. The error pops up instantly when I put in a disc. It's not reading it at all. No help from the dealer or the Saturn Customer Assistance Center. It's not worth paying a local dealer $90 an hour to look at it.

Er 01 on radio face plate anyone know what that is?
