I have run in to this problem a few time in a couple of different situations. After driving my 2005 impala ss i'll shut it off get out, (for 2-10 minuets) and then get back in and try to start it and i get nothing, not even a turn. Yet if i wait 10-15 minuets it'll start and run like nothing happened.
It happened once where I drove for like 40 minuets on the high way get off the highway stop got a drink and couldn't start it, The other two time I drove 1/2 mile to go to the store and it wouldn't start.
I haven't taken it to the dealership because 1 they suck and 2 it doesn't happen all so often and i cant reproduce it, its just at the most inopertune times (on the way to work)
Any suggestions or thoughts?

Look for loose or corroded battery conections.

I had an identical problem on a Olds Cutlass. New battery cables fixed it.
