'94 Saturn SL2-Lost Keys

Hey I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is an 800# for a saturn dealership near Indiana. I bought a '94 Saturn SL2 in February and got to drive the car for about 3 weeks before I decided to park it. The lights were always dim and I believe the alternator went out.:shakehead :rolleyes: I now have lost my keys to the car. I was wondering if anyone knew of someplace cheap to get my key code. I have the VIN#. Trying to cut down on any other expenses due to having to get the alternator fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Any Saturn dealer can make a key from your VIN. Just show up with the title, insurance, or any other document that has your name and the VIN on it. If there's no dealer near you, a lot of locksmiths can do the same thing. It won't cost a lot of money at either place.

according to saturn.com( http://www.saturn.com/locatedealer/saturn/dealersearchinput.jsp?target= ) the closest dealership to you is dayton, Ohio. i don't know but i wonder if they would be willing to mail the key to you, if you fax them the proper proof of ownership. i don't beleave locksmiths can cut by VIN.

Hi there sierrap615, I know you from another Saturn forum. Some one took my name here though.

It may vary from state to state but, locksmiths here can cut keys from the VIN. I had one do it when I was getting an ignition cylinder rekeyed.
