hey,
I know that there is a thread out there already for the 2001 model, but I wasn't sure if it was the same layout.
My problem is that when I first turn on the car the gage reads right, but after I start driving it will start to fluctuate and when I stop at the lights it will drop to zero then it will start to go up after I start driving again.
does anyone else have this problem???
thanks

It's the same as the 2001.

I have a 2000 impala 3.8. It's the fuel sending unit on the fuel pump. Unless you can buy the sending unit separately, you're gonna have to get a new fuel pump. There's a picture of where you can access the fuel pump in the other thread. It's SOOOO EASY. Doesn't need any muscle, and you only need pliers if you don't have a set of wrenches.
