radio doesnt work

i was wondering if anyone had the same trouble i was driving down the road when the after market deck shut off and wouldnt turn on again:banghead:. so i went home and put the stocker radio back in the car:screwy:. now it is static the display doesnt turn on and the stations wont pick up.so if u have any ideas let me know:2cents:. it is a 94 saturn sl1.

did you check your fuses,

yes i have i forgot to say that

its your chime fuse, rated at 5 amps. it rarely blows with the stock radio, but with anything aftermarket that draws more current its hopeless. and don't just use a larger fuse, find a new B+ constint power source, some people tap into the power for the nearby ciger lighter.

thanks the chime fuse is blown i will replace tomorrow to see if it fixes it
