This is probably a really simple question but, could someone tell me what the wires and connector under the drivers seat in a 1998 Windstar LX with a 3.8 engine is for or what it controls? Thanks!

I have not looked into it.....I have same in my '96, it could be for the seatbelt sensors......don't know if they have a pressure sensor like on the passenger side......I think it would be safe to assume that, if the vehicle is being driven.....someone is sitting in the driver's seat.....and if not.....a seatbelt violation is the least of the problems.....however, it does sense if the seatbelt is fastened or not.
