OBD II Problem

Hello guys,

This is my first time posting and I want to say: Hello and to thank you all in advance for considering my posting.

Here is my problem: Went for inspection today, and mechanic told me he was not getting any electrical current from the obd II port. When he try to plug in the plug from the inspection machine to start the scanning, he got nothing from my van. Also he plugged in a OBD II tester to try to see if he could get some codes and that didnt help either :frown:. Would you guys have any suggestions on where to start looking? The vans has also been having some electrical quirks like door locks that wont open, rear windows wont respond at times, and side door tantrums. I think the hot enviroment here @ NY agitates even more.

I have a 01 Windstar SEL.

It's a 20 amp fuse which also feed the cigar lighter. You can check if the cigar lighter is working. If not, take a look on this #17 fuse. If yes the problem can come from another source like the PCM.

Thank you so much for the reply. I checked the fuse and guess what :rofl: the fuse was blown. Just bought a new one and I am taking it to get checked and see whether that was the problem.
