Welcome to AF dazed.
Being an SS, do you have the 3800 supercharged engine, or the standard 3800?

Yeah i need help with the Serpentine Belt. The belt they gave me is like an inch to big. The guy said he read the number's off the old belt and gave me the right one. But we think we have everything on right but its still to loose. What happend i was heading down the road when the steering went out. So i pulled over poped the hood and there was the belt it was off and one side shreded. SO i got the car back to myplace and we find out that one bolt fell out and the other bolt got broke off inside. So we have one bolt back on holding it but the belt is way to lose is it possible we got the wrong one or are we missing something?

GM numbers are as follows:
main belt: 12576750 (crosses to a goodyear 4060905)
s/c belt: 12574914 (crosses to a goodyear 4060667)
First, check to see if you got the correct belt(s). Regretfully, I cannot find a belt routing guide on-line to give you a link to, but there should be a belt routing sticker under the hood of your car, near the belt area or on the front radiator support.
