First, let me thank everybody who answers these posts for a great many years of reading!
I had a brake line go bad (right under the drivers seat) and there is a mysterious bracket holding the brake lines to the chassis (also the salt/rust I may add) but it has a blind connector.
How does this thing connect/pull off? Is it a christmass tree type, should I just yank or use a pry bar? Many thanks in advance!
Thanks for all those that looked, I pried them off, they are all christmas tree type plactic (some look/feel metal, but are all plastic) and the only ones with any thread have a bolt easily seen.
Just a note, that I had to use 150 inches, yes 10 FEET per line - 20 feet of BRAKE LINE to replace both. One went bad, but did both - painful. The 97 used two different bubble flare sizes, had to use adapters to get it to fit - hats off to Federated Auto who was the only local store to come through with all the parts.
