Hamann 360 Done. Extremely image intensive!!!

Well fellow modellers, its done!!!!
Finished in about a weeks total time, but I've had it for several months. I'm very upset that I have get rid of this one as this must be one of my best kits done. I'm gonna have one for myself anyways, but when?-When I have time to do my version.

Polished the hell out of this body and its the first red car I've ever done. This must have been the most enjoyable kit I've built next to my Porsche GT3 Cabriolet. There's one with the Revell kit for comparison.

Let me know if there are any questions. I think this looks pretty good in Guards red-didn't like Italian red. Here goes the pics in no particular order.
Enjoy
-Walter

That looks so good I'm going to slap my mother! You kept everything in scale and beautifully shaped! Guards Red is actually a good red for Ferrari's IMHO. The Tamiya body smokes the Revell, even from here. Awesome job!:eek2:

Now to answer a few things.

Walter, are you trying to un-seat Pman?

YES!!! Where is he? :D :flipa: :D

I wish it was sitting in my cabinet!!! Where will it go?

Guiddy, someone from my local hobby shop contracted me to do this a few months ago. Took a while to gather the wheelset to complete the job. I wish it stayed in my cabinet too. :(, I want to keep it!

Thanks Camber. The kit is the regular old Tamiya Spider kit (24238)There is no exact kit of this in production.

what ground effects kit is that?

Its the Hamann version. Hamann is a German car tuner of exotic cars. I think its german. The aero kit was all scratchbuilt with pictures that were referenced from the internet and from Chris (flyonthewall).

Here's a link of the other thread with progress pictures:

I wish he would too:) I'm getting paid 200 US for labor and paint. I would like at least 250, but the price was established before the build. I didn't really know what I was getting myself into because this was my first contract project.

Thanks again for you comments-Walter

I had a client come round in his 360 Modena Spider this afternoon and was telling him all about your kit! I think he'll be making a call to Hamann too! Hehe!;)

From the side, it really highlights the differences between the kits.

Your red seems to just gleam so much more than the silvery-blue. :eek:

Yes, Tamiya did a great job bringing out the curves and the "fullness" of her rear end.:D The Revell kit is rather flat and the lines aren't so prominent.

Tamiya=Jennifer Lopez
Revell=Lucy Liu

What rims are those and did you have to mod the Tamiya kit to fit them?

Great Job :shocked: :shocked:

Thanks Giordano. This car was the second solid color that I've ever painted, but the first red ever painted. There is clearcoat over the red and I did polish it.;)

This was painted with Testor's Model Master Enamels and sanded/ polished wihtin a period of 4 days.

Nifty 360! :flash: I have built the coupe, but not the spyder yet. It's a wonderful kit that basically fits together on it's own even if you drop the parts into a heap on the floor.

Again, looks great!
