Has anyone ever have problems with their tail lights/stock interior lights? I blew a tail light fuse and replaced it and it keeps blowing. I put in 6 different fuses including a 15, 20,25,and 30. They just keep blowing. I got a ticket tonight becasue it blew originally on the highway and before I was able to get off and check it out a cop pulled me over and gave me a ticket. I have 1 day to have it fixed or pay the fine. Anyone know what kind of short this can be?

BTW...I got an amp and component speakers put in today...I was told that that might have something to do with my fuse problem.

Thanks

start here (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=185908)

it will probably help.

i prety had the same problema and found out when a cop pulled me over, but i only thought it was the interior lights, not the whole running lights too!

no ticket, just a warning. but huge frustration.

anyways read on and if you got questions drop them here.

Yep....turned out to be 2 shredded wires in the front marker....both wires were shredded and touching....fix it and the lights work now.

Just as a note, you never, ever want to install a larger fuse than what the spec calls for.

i'm stoked that you had the same problem i did. i was freaking out because everyone was saying there were like MILES of wires that could be chaffed at any point that i had to check.

and double what 007 said, bigger fuse means more power means possible FIRE!

great engine fire story:
