This surging issue has been hard to track down until today. Could never get it to happen when I was under the hood, but I think I finally have it narrowed down. It seems that the A/C clutch will engage, even if the A/C is not turned on. When the clutch engages, the engine RPM's drop to the point of almost stalling. The IAC makes up for this and increases the RPMs. This will happen 3 or 4 times, stop for a minute, then start again. If the A/C compressor is putting enough of a load on the engine to almost stall it I'm guessing it is bad. Not sure why the clutch would even be engaging unless the CCRM is also shot. Any ideas? Thanks guys!!
