Help Finding Frame VIN 58 Impala

I'm trying to find where on the frame the VIN stamping would be on a 1958 Chevy Impala. We've been sandblasting and scraping away at the frame, but just dont know where it would be.

Anyone know where we would look?

I'd also like to know if '41 chevy coupes even had frame stampings, and if they do, where would they be?

Thanks for any help.

Sorry for the double post, wasnt sure which forum to post it in.

You might try an online automobile restorer, they should know. Have you tried calling your local Chevrolet dealership. If you have a cell phone try Criswell or Crisswell in Gaithersburg MD. They use to sell vintage Chevys restored.

Other than the door jamb plate, I'm not sure the '50s frames even had I.D. numbers stamped.

Thanks for all the help. After about a week of searching and half a hundred websites googled and searched, I finally found it :)

Thanks.
