mod ideas for 85 mercury sable

Just want to say hello.
This is my very first time in this registering to this forum and from what i can see I will spend a lot of time here. Anyways I just bought a Mercury Sable, it wasn't like i had this in mind but this deal was too sweet to pass by.
Anyways I have some extra cash and I want to change a few things. For example the radio...This thing has a cassete player!!! I was thinking of getting this for it.

i am a total novice when it comes to this so any ideas would help.
Ideas for speakers and amps are welcome I will take pictures of the iside of it (which is in pretty dam good condition) so maybe I can get ideas from the more experieced modder.
Oh and the car is white the inside is a grayish blue.
