I got a 2002 LS, and I noticed that the lights are half out on my HVAC controls, making it hard for me to see em at night, and also the light on my ashtray went out. Anyone have a clue how to fix it? My car has the floor shifter, if that helps any? Oh yeah, you think any of this stuff is covered under my warranty?

I have the same problem in my 2004. The lights behind the sliding heater controls went out. First one side then a week later the other side.
So there is No way to replace these? Surely someone must have tried? Thanks

Thanks I'm pretty sure you can replace them if you took out the unit and took your bulbs to an electronics store to get a match, g.m replaces the whole unit under warranty, strange because they will generally try to fix warranty problems before they replace them.

This is kinda weird.... On my way to the Chevy dealer to have a long list of issues fixed, including the issue with the HVAC lights. I stoped under a bridge, and the lights came on, looked at the HVAC controls, the damn thing started working! Kinda odd, aint it?

How hard is it to take the unit out? Looking at it I can't even begin to see how I would access it. I assume part of the dash has to come out??
