Alright, my friend has a decked out Jetta and he always talks crap about my 1970 Firebird saying how its just a nice toy but no power. He always wanted to race me and he always talked so much trash. Wel him and me and about 60 of my friends like literally blocked off a road and they all stood and watched. Its was a mile long road so we just had someone stand at the finish line which was a .4 miles away from the starting line. He's sitting there blasting his music and revving his engine. well we start off and i burn out for about 4 seconds and hes like 20 feet in front of me, so i let off a little on the gas and get traction then put the pedal to the medal. i caught up to him and zoomed past him like he was a damn turtle and i was a dang leperd. Everyone was laughing at how bad i beat him. I must of beat him by at keast 100 yards. He got up to 60 quick from 0, but i just murdered him once i got traction. He says that it has more power then 6 months ago when he rode in it. pshhhh poor loser:iceslolan :iceslolan :grinyes: :grinyes: :rofl:

Yeah, street racing isn't a good idea. I did it once, and just about got hit by the other driver. While i did win, i felt horrible for weeks. If you MUST race, do it on a track, or at the very least on private property where there are no other lives at stake, but i'd prefer the former.

EDIT: oh, and on another ironic side, i live in a small town where everybody knows each other, and one saturday night i was parked at the local hangout. Probably at least a dozen different drivers challenging me to a race. I told them that I wasn't going to be an idiot and that there were several cops out. They being the usual teens said it was impoosible and so I got laughed at for a couple hours. They all took off to go do various races. I stayed out. I cruised around all night and passed at least 3/4 of them as they were on the shoulder of the road receiving a nice fat ticket. The next weekend they wouldn't look at me they were so embarrassed.
