Who makes a turbo kit for a 1995 maxima. I have seen them for the 1989-94 maxima's but not for my 95. I'd much rather go turbo than s/c

I asked the very same question a few weeks back and I was told that there is not a kit for the Gen4+. Not that it cannot be done, but not by conventional means. A group called CTC Motorsports is doing a mod for a guy on a 1997. It will be one big turbo and not two little ones. It was going to be a hybrid from 2 different kits, custom built manifold / headers, new air intake and exhausts system. The most notable thing was that they were going to bore out the block to replace the stock pistons and rods with heavier ones. I was told the owner was going to have to give up something just for the new manifold. It may come down to do you want to go fast or do you want air conditioning. In Texas, that's a helluva choice.

But I search for stuff all the time, I'll keep my eyes open. BTW, who makes the turbo for the Gen3?

nah i want a/c for one. Another thing is i want a sure-fire fully functional turbo. if that dudes car is still running 12-18 months from now, i'll consider it.
i just wish Greddy would put out an application for my car.

i don't remember who made that kit off hand. once i noticed it wasn't for my car i kind of dis-credited the web site.

i'll look though

Check custommaxima.com they have coming out for 95-99 maxima's. It is going to be around $4200, not sure when they are going to start selling them though.

PFI Speed in Fort Collins CO sells a kit. It looks like they just put together the peices. The kit includes:

Turbonetics T04 turbo (ballbearing)
HKS/Greddy/etc blow-off valve
Tial/Turbonetics wastegate
Spearco front mount intercooler (core size 20x7.8x3.5)
Vortech FMU.

The car pictured on thier web site is a 5speed 97Max, which they moved the battery to the trunk. The power gain, according to the site, went from 176hp to 267hp with a 4psi boost. It doesn't mention if any other modifications were made. They do a side by side dyno with the Stillen SuperCharger and the turbo seems to have a smoother curve and a higher gain overall.

The owner of the turbo Max is on .org. His sn is Turbo97SE. He's up to over 360fwhp on 9psi, but his exhaust might be bottlenecking his power.

The kit cost $4500 if you go through PFI speed. It will include the manifold, piping and the needed item to move the battery to the trunk. PFI installs the kit for $500. I asked why the t4 and not the t3/t4 hybrid. I was told the while the hybrid spools quicker, the t3 housing with actually constrict the flow of exhaust, expecially on a V6. The Max97SE in the example IS up over 350whp, but is now having to reinforce the infrastructure to match the power. The clutch had to replaced - for now. You can't double the output without some consequences.
