Front right wheel bearing

My 2000 Impala LS has some very slight play in the front right wheel when you rock the tire from side to side and top to bottom. I can hear a slight tap of the brake rotor against the brake pad and I would guess that the amount of play is about 1/32 of an inch at the outer edge of the rotor. The tie rod and ball joints are real tight so I figure it has to be something with the wheel bearing. There’s no noise or vibrations in the wheel. Am I looking at a wheel bearing replacement here or should I go for a re –torque of the hub nut? Anyone have a similar experience? Thanks in advance.

I would definately check the the torque and would be inclined to remove rotor to check rotor mounting surface as well. I would think you would be be getting some noise from a bearing worn to that point. 35mm (6pt) deep well for the hub nut.
