Anyone have any knowledge of how to fix these fogging headlamps on my 05 impala, I have had 2-2003''s, 3-2004's and 2-2005''s but this one is fogging up on the headlamps and g.m won't replace them unless there is water build up in them, maybe I should just fiqure out how to get them apart and fill them full of water, they say it's normal per bulletin, bull, never had this problem with the other 6 impala's.

Do the headlamp assemblies have a vent in them?... Either a small hole or a membrane for venting?...

Do the headlamp assemblies have a vent in them?... Either a small hole or a membrane for venting?...No, there are not any vents in the headlamps at all, I was however thinking of driilling a small vent hole in them but don't know where to drill, top ,bottom, side, did not want to do this in case of when it rains or I wash the car that it might make them worst for fogging up

I would think a vent would let even more water in.

Just the opposite actually... A vent allows equal pressure between the outside environment and the inside of the headlamp assembly... Thus water does not condense and get trapped inside the assembly... In effect it breathes and stays dry...

Yes that sounds correct enough, do you also have an impala or do you or anyone else have suggestions to where the holes should be put in the 05 impalas?,thanks

in order to correct the fogging in your headlights do the following. ( I had the same issue) When you replace the lights there is a circular rubber cap that is very flimsy that needs to be put back in place. It can be easily forgotten about like in my case. This will instantly dry up any condensation in the housing. The part can be bought on GM's web site for around 10. Let me know the outcome.
