Awesome, will get on it immdediately. I don't think that pulley could have moved with loosened crank bolt because it was still connected to the belt and it shouldn't be moving. Like you said i probably needed a little break. I will let you know, thank you

You could also have two sets of timing markers.
Look straight down behind of water pump for a timing marker on engine timing chain cover and on drivers side of timing cover for a timing marker on timing chain housing.
Some times the engine gets replaces and timing markers gets changed around or left off and also the wrong crankshaft damper will throw you off on the mark.
I am pretty sure this time I got it completely working! I don't know what car you guys were talking about but, when the 2nd line lined up the middle notch it is the TDC on this car, NOT 1st. I wanted to try that and worked perfectly fine. Now I put everything back together and drove it for about 15 miles. Nothing seems to be leaking or breaking. The car starts immideately when I try to start it ( no more waiting 5-6 seconds ). Only thing is tho, I had 1/4 tank of gas and now it shows almost empty. Put 5 gallons of gas and gauge didn't even move. I probably couldn't put it back in as I was supposed to :( Or maybe its something that I didn't do? I will wait for your reply before I take the tank down AGAIN... But I am happy in the end because bad boy works
Do you know how much these cars go for? 92 bravada, 172k miles. I know it changes from state to state but still I would like to know how much I can ask for it.
Thank you for all your help!!!

You are welcome.
And good for you on getting it running.
It makes my day to hear that.
As far as the fuel gauge I would fill up the tank and drive it and see if gauge starts working.
If it keeps running good I would check the base timing on it with a timing light to make sure it is timed good. You will have to disable the base timing connector and put a timing light on it to do that part.
As to what they are worth it depends a lot on condition.
You might check around with some used car dealers.
Good luck

I borrowed a craftsman timing light - avery nice one - from a friend and set it good, even returned it. Didn't disable anything tho :(
Fuel gauge was working in the beginning , showing 1/4 of a tank. after I started it and let it run it went all the way down to Empty. Will put another 4 gallons today that should make 3/4 of tank and we'll see what happens. Its just such a pain to take the gas tank down and reattach those fuel lines when putting back up.
I have posted the truck on CL for $2950 OBO. Am I way off?

To set the base timing you have to disconnect the EST timing connector.
A single tan/black wire with a plug in connector on it.
May be near dist or on fire wall or inside cab under heater core housing.
I can not say on the price but always price high and you can go down if needed.
Good luck

No matter what people think, I love this car, all American cars. I think they are superior. Fixed some other small stuff and now its a great daily driver even tho it has 172k miles on it. I DO NOT want to sell but I need the money :(
I parked it up the hill tonight and when I went back in the car to start I realized fuel gauge started working. For those who changes pump or anything just fill the gas tank up and drive till it sets itself.
Right now car has no problem except for speed sensors in the front are messed up. When I go over 20mph Anti-Lock light would come on. Which is not a big problem but itd be nice to have a complete errorless car :)
