left button on mirror?

My '04 Impala LS has OnStar controls on the drivers mirror, but on the left side there is another power button that affects a small green lamp on that side of the mirror. It's not shown in the maual. What the heck is it?

I think it turns on/off the glare control to prevent headlights behind you from being blinding.
