Transmission Problem Maybe?

The other morning we went to leave the house and my 1997 saturn sl2 had no reverse only 1st gear. It wasn't shifting at all. We had it put on the computer and the code errors said that gear ratios 2, 3, and 4 were out of whack. Today, 2 days later, we started the car and we had all gears and the car was shifting gears like it was supposed to. Any suggestions on what could be or couldn't be wrong with it.

When was the last time the fluid and filter were changed? Should be done every 30k.

We had flushed the transmission and changed the filter in november, no where near the 30,000 miles yet but thanks for the input

Fluid level and condition?
What were the code no?

It was in the teens and we had just had an ice storm. The fluid was in good condition and whatnot.

the reason i asked about temp. is, if the fluid temp. is 9 degrees or lower (F), the trans will only operate in 1st and 3rd until it warms up. the only other thing, off the top of my head, would be either actuator connector, bus plate for actuators, or actuators themselves. i live in south alabama, so we don't see any problems with cold temp. related problems, i just know that that cold of temp. could cause this to happen. thank god i don't have to deal with ice storms. although i've had my share of hurricanes.
