96 98 sable radio

I have a 96 sable with a radio that has two plugs and to install factory cd I have an 98 radio with cd button but it has single plug. I'm wondering if there is a connector that would work around the problem or if anyone had luck remove wires from two connector and putting them in single connector. they seem hard to remove.
