ticking sound

hello i have a 2004 impala ls and when cut it off there is a ticking sound. i dont know what it is. input would be appriecited

IF it's a random pattern ticking noise, that is just normal for any liquid cooled engine. If the ticking is rhythmic, with a definite cadence/timing to it, then it may be a solenoid or valve sticking. Can you pinpoint where the noise is coming from (under hood, back of car, interior, etc...)?

it seems as the sound is coming from the middle or front of the car. some people said it was common but i dont know.

All my cars have done this hot parts cooling down, make TING TING sounds.
