IAC valve?

Does a 83 grand marquis 5.0 have a IAC valve? If so where is it located? Thanks for your help.

Maybe not EXACTLY useless. You probably have a throttle body injection and it has a solenoid bolted to the side of the throttle body. Now, if you had stated the problem you are having, maybe someone would have answered sooner. Remember, we all havelives like you do, and we may not be here all day every day. i do not know 100%, but searching autozone for an iac for your year of car showed that there is an iac for it. hope this helps.

i do not know 100%, but searching autozone for an iac for your year of car showed that there is an iac for it. hope this helps.

The car will not idle unless i press the gas as soon as i stop giving it gas it dies.

that is a definite symptom of a bad iac valve. 100%
