Sable water leak

Hello everyone,
I have a 2001 Sable GS that is losing water, when I shut off the car, about 30 seconds later I get steam coming from under the hood. The steam is coming from below the water pump, toward the rear of the pump, but I don't see a drip and the area directly below the pump and the pump itself is dry.
The steaming is coming off of the exhaust system. There is a roughly 3/4" pipe that connects to the exhaust, and this seems to be where the steam is coming from and the pipe end itself is wet. Does anyone know what this pipe is and does it have anything to do with the cooling system. I haven't tried tightening the fitting yet (it's dark when I get home and I am waiting for the weekend).

most likely the pump is leaking yoou will have to replace it

yes most likely water pump or you have hose coming off water pump leaking.....good luck...
