Goodbye, Windstar....

Well, the van broke down on the way to Upstate NY last Friday. Transmission would not 'transmit'...... Got the news this am, needs a new transmission to the tune of $2k or so.... So it's donation time.

I have to say that I will miss the car a LITTLE - but then I look at my spreadsheet and all the major expenses to the tune of almost $9k in the time we've owned it (that includes things like oil changes and tires, of course). It's cost me over $13/mile (without gas, insurance or interest on the loan) to run this car! We're looking at the Odyssey and Sienna as replacements.

Thanks to everyone here who has helped me out over the 18 months or so I've been part of the group. That $9k would be over $10k without your assistance!

$13/mile? Man, that's a million dollar van!:grinno: Oddy's go thru $2K transaxles too, so that aspect is hard to get away from.
