Retail Workers Bitchfest!

as expected it was busy on the 23rd and 24th. we did about $130,000 in
sales on the 23rd... and thats without milk and eggs for some of the day, also lots produce was out of stock. On the 24th we probably did about 100,000 with the milk and produce showing up at 5pm. Tomorrow we're thinking we're gonna do about 50,000 between 8a-3p. I was gonna take some pictures of the empty racks and tables for shawn to laugh at. but I wanted to leave that place ASAP.

i was in produce for 8hrs yesterday and i got so sick of people asking me if we had fresh cranberries. we have been out for the last 2 weeks but the idiots expect to get them christmas eve :screwy: . you can not get them for a 30 mile radius. we were out of alot of other stuff too like stawberries and salad kits but im glad thats over and i now have 3 days off.

yeah down here in florida my store (publix 801 in crestview) set a new record of $140 some odd dollars in one day! its awesome because we beat the Tallahasse stores, Destin and Sand Destin stores. but we were second only to Lyn Haven in Panama City! so yeah and sunday i worked 8am to about 6pm so yeah it was actually a very eay day! so anyways we did great this year and when i figure out what my department did (frozen grocery) ill tell ya'll!

try this!!! customer needs an Alternator for an 89' station wagon... "ok sir, which wagon are we talking about"...... the station wagon!!!!! he says.... as if there were only 1 wagon made in 89' after 20 minutes of 3 autozoners tryin to tell him to go home to the car and call us from behind the car "we'll tell you what to read to us" he finally says he'll just go to advanced!!!!! so any advanced workers in NW Pennsylvania got a similiar story! im sorry bout that!!!!!

Hate to rain on your bitchfest, but allow me to add a thought or two here.
You must remember that you are not in retail, you are in CUSTOMER SERVICE.
The customer always comes first and is always right..no matter how wrong or ignorant they are. A day or two later that employee came to my shop..lets just say I treated them the same way they treated my wife..After they were done yelling about customer service, I reminded them about their conversation with my wife...the look on their face and the silence was PRICELESS:rofl: :rofl:

You can bitch all you want, just remember how you treat the customer is a direct reflection on the company you work for...:2cents:

I hate stooping to that level, but it drove home the point. Not so much revenge as it was a learning lesson.
The customer comes back to see me and from what I have seen, is one of the nicest customer service reps since that happened :iceslolan
