Need help here.
My engine light is on again. The code is P0171, P0174, and P1506.
I have cleaned the throttle and replace the intake manifold. Still, the P0171 and P0174 comes back. Now, it has a new code P1506.
Any suggestion?
Thanks

Have you read the leckemby.net procedure yet?

Excellent info; highly recommended.
Did your 'replace the intake manifold' job include the isolator bolts?

Hi,
As the continuing Engine Light problem. :grinyes:
Now the P0171 and P0174 is gone. Yet, I am dealing with P1506 now.
The P1506 seems comes from the idle speed. I have changed a new Ford IAC control valve. When I changed the IAC valve, the light immediately went away.
However, after a week driving, the light and code P1506 comes back.
Any suggestion?
Thanks

This is a new one for me.....
P1506 is Idle Air Control (IAC) overspeed error.
Is the idle control seeming to work?
If it is, then check for vaccum leaks that could be letting air in through another path, also see if the IAC is correctly seated onto the throttle body.
Check the big flexible hose that connects to the throttle body and the MAF for leaks (cracks, holes, etc as well as seated at both ends)
Make sure that the air breather tube that goes from the rear valve cover (1999 and later) to the flex hose is intact and seated at both ends.

Thanks for the reply.
The engine light went off about 3 weeks ago again. Since then, the light does come back again. So, I guess the the computer needs a few on and off to make sure the problem is fixed. Am I right?
Thanks for the help. Hopefully, the problem has been fixed.
