Where do I start with this one? :banghead:
My SL2 Automatic has a heavy shake when in gear at a stop, and when moving down the road and accelerating from 2nd or 3rd gear when the idle is below 2000 rpm. Judging by other postings, I'm guessing it's the motor mounts. I'll be replacing those soon...
I also hear a thumping noise when moving that sounds like I have a flat tire or something stuck to my tire. I've replaced tires, so I know that's not it. Could it be the CV Axle? The sound comes from the passenger side wheel area...
I also have a loss of power and moderate valve ticking when accelerating. I changed the air filter and spark plugs so far. I found oil on the #4 plug...
Also, service light is always on, and oil pressure guage has always been wacky. I change the Coolant Sensor a while back to fix an idle issue. Does anyone know how I can pull codes from an OBD I?
Well I think that's all (for now)... If anybody can help with any of these issues, I'd appreciate it.

The thumping noise could be the brake caliper moving on the the caliper bracket as a wrapped rotor spins. I had this problem and checked a bunch of stuff and it turned out to be a warpped rotor. Of course, I found that out by chance.
Good luck

Do you have ignition coils on that model. Check them out. A corroded ignition coil on my 94 sL1 caused power loss, hesitation, and finally choking. Made a huge improvement to replace.
