Call me Crazy!!

Yes been looking around for another Windstar for the Wife.. I will take over the 2001. my 97 chevy malibu is about to die..the car my wife had before we got married 137,000 miles with very poor maintance until I came along.. By then it was too late the engine is filled with sludge she went over 30,000 miles before I changed the oil. She justed added when the oil light came on. Yep!she is a blond.:naughty: I think we are looking for a 2003 with no more than 50,000 miles on it. We like the look of SEL crome front grill and the front marker lights. I have seen many for around 10,000 to 12,000 bucks with reasonable miles. I have notice the dealers sale them cheaper than owners, at least around here. I guess the owners must still owe more than the book value or I know the dealer want give you anything for it. I looked around on Car Max and found a number of them, will even send one down as far as from Ohio for a 250.00 fee, but I would like to look over before buy.. So taken time and looking around. Ill keep you posted on what I fine.

Not crazy at all Gary! From just an economic and versatility standpoint, you cant go wrong. A 2003 with miles under 40K should be easy to be had for well under $12K, I'd try to stay basic though (like an LX). More goodies = more trouble. My BIL was so impressed with our 2001 LX on our recent visit (they live in KY), they went out and bought a 2005 freestar SES yesterday. Traded their camry for it. The yota was too small for them and their 2 small kids, dogs, etc..
