1.9l boost question

What would be a safe psi to run in a stock 95 1.9l dohc motor. auto tranny. either turbo/supercharger without changing injector, sensors, ect. i rebuilt the motor about 30000 miles ago and its in execellent condition. Also factor in that the pin that locks the spider gears <--- (i think thats what its called.) inside the tranny no longer has the plastic wedges to lock it in place. I welded it into place. I know alot about the motor but a little about boost. hoping to find out before i start this!

Not always a question of psi. It's the actual difference in the total amount of air, which is a function of psi and the size of the turbocharger.
You will not run more than 1-2psi safely. Even if your car ends up running 3-4, it won't be safe. If you're not willing to spend money to upgrade your injectors (or get extra ones) and spend some cash on a fuel management system (even a cheap one), you would be better off going with something else.
Maybe try a 50 shot of nitrous instead?
If you try to boost your car, you need to do it right. A turbo isn't just a bolt-on item, you need the manifold, oil lines, intercooler, piping, connectors, injectors, turbocharger, fuel management system, downpipe, wideband sensor/gauge, boost gauge, bov, wastegate, etc.

if you dont upgrade injectors, you need an eic preferably a 034 eic. if you dont run that for fuel tuning, then you need a good piggyback fuel system or the best a standalone. sure there is the fmu, but thats it you want to cheap out and not do it right. those usually make the car run way too rich with super high fuel pressure, if the stock pump can handle it which cant. take a 10x fmu, and car runs at 45psi base. you run 5 lbs of boost, so for every pound of boost you make the fmu multiplys fuel pressure by 10psi. needless to say, that gets REALLY HIGH.
if it has a really good fuel tune, then the car can easily handle 8psi BUT that depends on the turbo's cfm output, like already pointed out. an example ive made before, a small turbo running at 8psi compared to a big turbo running 8psi, could make half the power the big one makes. a t3/to4b is a pretty well rounded turbo and cfm is decent and stock motor can handle 8psi with it IF CAR IS TUNED PROPERLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
