I tell you what, it took me about 4 hours to get this sucker off about 3 years ago, and now, I am having the same problems. I'm just frustrated and venting, I am going to a friends to use an impact on saturday, it's so annoying.

Is the motor in or out of the car?

i removed two yesterday..helpful hint, grab a blow torch and toast the bolt for about 10-15 sec, just to warm it up. then we just used a torque rod and it came right out. but they were both out of the car so idk what your situation could be.

Just use a considerable length of pipe over a breaker bar. I dont see why people allways have so much trouble with these.

It's in the car, I was using a breaker bar, but busted a 1/2 inch 17 mm socket trying to get it out. I'm going to my bosses tomorrow to use his impact he bought today, it's a 525 lb one, so it should do it no problem. I think the reason people have problems is because it's near impossible to keep the motor from turning over, eventually I can do it, but when I do do it, I always end up breaking a socket. Do yall think if i was to put on some anti seize stuff, it would stop this from happening again, or would that not be a good idea?

impact will take it right out..just heat it up a little like i said earlier so you dont snap the bolt if its seized

I got it off with the impact. Word of advice for anyone having problems, don't use any extensions with the impact, it seems that it wasn't as powerful until I took off the extensions. Once they were off, it spun right off.

Correct. You lose torque when using extensions...same thing applys to everything else in life.

yep, bought a very expensive impact a few year back when I was having some trouble on one, never again, and I've whored it out to friends to help them too. When I bought it, I had tried 2 cheap impacts and two electrics.

mines pretty much stock, I have springs (the ACR comes with adjustible struts), strut tower braces and some new wheels so I can have r-compounds on my stock BBS's. Actually, if I remember right, I came here when purehonda shut down, or something, it was a long time ago, but I post rather in frequently, I'm on a lot of boards. I was recently banned by some littlecock E-thug on honda-tech, so I decided to start putting more time over here.

Its a mystery to me to. Jam a srewdriver in the flywheel and get out the extension and breaker bar. People always complain about that bolt.
