I'll photoshop em today, I don't have much else to do. I'm thinking about putting an 00-02 spoiler with the third brake light in it on my car, to go with the 03 tails, so i'd have all 3 styles on my rear end.....:eek7:...:disappoin...a 98 rear with an 00 spoiler, and 03 taillights

back to the original thread... Bumper. yeah my "friend" had to study for a mid-term. So he's coming over Friday, and we'll have all day to do it Friday. So Wednesday night, instead of doing the bumper, I managed to achieve this by myself. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/10/web/2362000-2362999/2362121_95_full.jpg

yeah talk is cheap and my back bumper is a bitch! well, my crack doubled in size, and it buckled in the middle like Cody's did. and my drill died....so we'll see where we get tonight, I might finish tonight, lol.

^Damn that sucks about the bumper  The waves in the bumper are an easy fit, but the crack may be a bitch.

Friday the 13th...that's why! My friend also totalled his Camaro... He got it Friday....he wrecked it 7 days later...(yesterday) I blame that one friday the 13th too.

oh I said my drill died, I didn't mean like the battery died. I mean like the whole thing doens't work. Either I have bad batteries or I have a bad charger, regardless....I still need a drill to finish..I'm 8 holes/8 screws and some fiberglass resin away from being done...no scratch that. I need to cut out the hole for my exhuast, and cut a hole for my license plate light, and then drill holes for the screws for that... yeah, it will be fun as soon as I find a drill!!!!!!!!

Well thouse pics look really nice guys... and Derk im glad you've made some progress. I had to take pictures of my bumper and send then into kidimports so he can fight my case and get me a new bumper so im still driven around with my pos car with no bumper. :banghead:

Derk_eliso
10-15-2006, 12:21 PM
still waiting on somebody I know that has a drill. I might break down and use my uncles...but if I ask to use it, he'll ask me what i need it for, then I'll have to try to explain to him what a body kit is, and it's purpose, and why I need it, and blah blah blah. Then he'll tell me about his 20 p.o.s. cars he's had and how "cool" they were and blah blah. you're not getting it...this guy would talk the ears off a corpse! *sigh* well I don't wanna drive around without a bumper...

okay heres the dealio...did it look like your license plate would go in..if you pushed on it a little bit...like if you slid the bottom in first...then slide the top in and forced it in..like maybe it was 2 or 3 centimeters too short??cuz I had to force my license plate in there...and bent it a bit..... i'll post my videos tomorrow i'm freaking tired. g'night.

na thers no way man, not on this one it was a good inch if not more to small i would have had to cut it to even begin to start forcing it in. and fropm the picture you posted i can tell by just looking at it its bigger then mine. Also both my front bumper and side skirts were from vfiber but this one came in just plastic.. and like i stated they were diffrent colors the rear bumper was black everyhting else was white. The metal bumper support hang out from the bottum of it, and lets see it was fiber glass and the front and side skrits were not.

Yeah they worked that time......hmmm looks a little long.

Shorter too. Doesn't go to the ground as much as Derk's does. Also explains why theres no way forceing the tag in would ever work.. the tag would deff. have to be cut, and well you can't do that. The freaking dealer wants me to take a full shoot of the bumper left to right up against the car.. I guess he dosen't beleave thouse pictures up there^^ oh and his arse said if the bumper is hitting the exhaust then to cut it a little.. I jsut laughed im like dude im not that freaking stupid that the least of my worries... I told him it had nothing to do with the exhaust the damn thing just isn't right.. the guy sold me a off brand part and im really pissed about it... if he would have jsut sent the damn vfiber bumper like the rest of the parts it would have been fine.

Uh me too man.. im deffintly going to fight this... i think its BS that i have to keep sending pictures the guy just can't admit they screwd up. I mean damn should have not the color triggered somthing?? Thats the biggest reason I think this whole thing is BS I mean first off the whole kit was suposed to be VFiber and 2 of the parts were and the bumper.. well I have no freaking clue what brand the bumper is.. im sick of fighting these people, its going on a month and I've been riding around with no bumper. Like I said I will fight this even if I have to take drastict measures.

Derk_eliso
10-18-2006, 12:04 AM
honestly..I think if you cut a line so that your muffler would fit..you could slide it back, and bolt it to your metal bumper...perhaps you have a 95-99? I had to push on mine, for mine to go flush, and they were still weird...i ended up cracking the bottom lip :( but it's okay. but mine is still WAVEY!!!! i'll think of something...

EbenLudwig

The muffler isn't even close enough... to hit or to be effecting it, its alot further back then it looks in the pictures... its shorter then your bumper man the metal bumper support is what messing it up it doesn't fit up against the car. The metal support bar should not be that visible when looking at the car from behind it should fit inside the bumper. Mine does not. My car is a 02 and yeah it could be a diffrent bumper like a 99 or whatever. Alls I know is that I didn't get what I payed for.. I payed for a full VFiber drift kit and I got a POS excuss for a bumper.. just because they wanted to cut corners and ship me the BS. It also leaves a huge gap between the trunk and the bumper where it has to sit because it wont go up any further. Im not even going to try and fully mount the POS due to the whole under car being visible including the freaking metal support bar.

Why can't you put the stock bumper back on?

EbenLudwig
10-18-2006, 06:30 AM
Why can't you put the stock bumper back on?

Because the rear bumper... the one from the pics was hit pretty good and its crack on both sides where it contects to the car behind the wheels. It hangs down alot, and is warped. So it had to come off either way, the right side is so bad that it woud take for ever to even try to fix it.. due to where the crack is located.

yea me too i had mentioned them in another post and was wondering if any1 had them or had seen them, but hopefully i get to see it on urs first. the kit looks really nice. Now i got a question. Since i have dual exhaust if i buy a kit that has dual openings will it fit my duals? or should i buy a normal back and cut another hole?

alrite, http://grounddynamics.com/merchant/mainpage.htm , that is the rear bumper i was looking at and i was curious if that would def fit or not. but i mean if not i would probably get a single and juss cut the other out.

Derk_eliso

look at this. I was searching drift kits for cavalier on the internet and I found this a little reassuring.

that kind of looks like my car, minus the whole tri-color deal...anyway, he turned that into...

which just gives me wood, lol. Makes me want to run and get it painted right now, lol.

Lances133
10-27-2006, 07:38 PM
That's one of my favorite kits but for some reason that car is not impressing me. Maybe it's the black, or because the dummy left the door strikes on. Or maybe because I'm a firm believer in getting rims before a bodykit and paint. :dunno:

Derk_eliso
10-27-2006, 08:21 PM
hmm, picky? lol. nah I agree with ya, but I was focusing on the kit itself, lol.

Lances133
10-27-2006, 08:30 PM
I am very picky when it comes to cars, I'll point out anything I can find. Yours is gonna look tits on your car with your rims and head/taillight combo. You should wrap the lower middle of your bumper in a layer or 2 of Cf vinyl or just black. Omg and if you got a Cf hood, your car would be fuckin SHWEEET.

Derk_eliso
10-27-2006, 08:37 PM
yeah I'd love a vis evo

http://images.andale.com/f2/121/127/10579138/1094997442239_Cavalier_95_02_evo_HOOD.jpg

or vis invader CF hood.

Ya im the same way i think u should allways buy rims before a body kit even if that black cav had Z24 rims instead of them shitty humcap ones it would look sweet

Lances133
10-27-2006, 08:41 PM
I like those too, you should check out the Cf turbo sport hood dude, i love it. But if you wanna wrap the middle of your bumper in Cf vinyl, the site in my sig has pretty realistic cf vinyl. It's not just black and grey squares, it's shiny and actually looks woven like real Cf.
