Hi everyone thanks for all your help in the past. I have a question about Seafoam. I ran about 16 ounces of water through my vacume port on the top of the intake manifold, reduced the size of the vacume hose from 3/8" to 1/8" to prevent from hydro locking. Then ran a full can of Seafoam through also and let it die. I waited about 10 minutes and started it up again and expected tons of smoke. I had very little. Im wondering if its because it had very little carbon.? It seems to have more power and a steady idle about 600 rpm. I guess I shouldnt complain. I did have the lower intake gasket replaced at about 80,000 miles now 183,000 maybe they cleaned the junk and the egr ports then. I have had the codes 171 and 174 but fixed that by replacing the elbow on the top of the intake that goes to the pcv valve with a pre bent fuel line hose and cut it to length.

While I haven't used SeaFoam on my Windstar, I have used it on other vehicles - and have gotten a lot of smoke. But if your van is running well, I wouldn't worry about it.
