I have gone to an auto recycler and picked up a control module and a steering columm switch. The module came off a 1994 and switch from a 1995.
My 1995 Saturn SL SOHC automatic never had cruise but has the plug for the cruise control module and fits fine underneath including fitting the cable to the pedal.
Upon removing the airbag on the steering wheel via two bolts, I find there is a different plug in for the switch. 4 wires matching the colors of the wires of the switch come out of the same wiring as the airbag but have a connector with the wires aligned next to each other. ( xxxx ) My switch from the recycler has the male connector with the wires stacked two on two. DO I have the wrong switch?
The car is coded with a MP6 in its vin # label. I do understand that I may have to have a dealer flash the PCM.

Of course it was a different switch. Found and installed.
