Check your climat control. I am sorry but i never heard of that problems. Something wrong with driver side air damper (stuck, switch is short). I think problem ON or IN the dash.
BTW check if you have any "U" or "P" codes

My '05 is doing the same thing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I think the steve guy is right, I would think it has to be the switch or more likely the dampener that allows hot or cold air to go through. But i might be wrong. You would need to take apart the dash.

Hey!
If you have a 2005 you may still be under warranty right? Take it to get serviced.

If you have the dual zone heater controls (separate temps sliders for driver and passenger), then it could be an actuator for the driver's side isn't pulling the temp door over. If you have standard single zone A/C (only one temp slider), then you may be low on coolant, or the heater core is partially blocked internally.
