Experience with TransX or Trans Tune

I was curious if anyone here has had experience with the TransX or TransTune. I plan to change out the TRS sensor and/or VSS on my 95 Windstar this weekend. While I was at the parts counter at a local Ford dealer one of the mechanics there was talking about how he had used TransX in his Bronco because of a intermittent slipping issue and that it worked well for him.
I'm considering giving the stuff a try if changing these sensors does not correct the 3-2 downshift issue on my van. I figure if the sensors do nothing for the problem then I probably have an internal issue in the transmission, but I don't think I will be putting a new trans in it if that is really the case.

I have not used either of those products.....so I do not know about them.
I have used a product called " AutoRX " http://www.auto-rx.com/index.html
This is a product that will GENTLY clean.....and remove deposits that may be in and about the solenoids, etc inside the transmission.
You put it in.....run it for 1000 to 1500 miles, then change the fluid and filter (using the CORRECT fluid for your year).
I also use a magnefine filter in the cooler return line to remove more dirt from the fluid than the factory filter.
If I am going to tow, or otherwise stress the unit.....I can remove the inline filter to make sure that there is not any restriction to the fluid flow. The filter does have a bypass valve that opens if the filter becomes clogged.
I also have an auxillary cooler that is installed inline with the factory cooler that is inside the radiator.

Thanks again, wiswind. I'll look into that stuff. What has been your experience with it. Was there an issue with your transmission that was corrected by it?

NO.....my transmission was working just fine.
I did notice that it improved the shifting....but as I did not have any real issue, it was not much of a change.
I had the transmission replaced at about 100K miles.....now at 172K miles.
I don't want to replace this one.
I was having the dealership change the fluid and filter every 30K miles.
I now do the job myself, with full synthetic fluid once a year.
Since Mobil 1 ATF, which used to be Mercon (what my '96 calls for), and it now is Mercon and Mercon V, which a FORD TSB states NOT to use......I plan to use Redline ATF, which is Mercon rated.
The thing that I have noticed......and you can see in my pictures.....is that there is a black "dust" over everything inside the transmission.
This is after 1 year, about 20K miles of use.
So, after reading about people having issues with solenoids.......I thought to myself....."What if this black dust is building up in the solenoids?".
So, I decided to try the AutoRX product......along with my Magnefine filter.
The magnefine filter should be replaced at no more than 10K miles of use.
The Factory style filter catches larger size particles.....but not the realy fine stuff.
I believe that the fine dust like material is from the frictional surfaces within the transmission......and are NORMAL.......I am just being anal about keeping things clean.
