Just saying hello to everyone.
We just picked up a 98 Cavalier with only 24K miles on the clock.
Just picked up today as a matter of fact... it's the LS version and pretty loaded...
I saw in an earlier thread where a car was stalling while the owner was trying to back
out of the garage... my car has done this to us a couple of times as well.
The fix that the owner was told to do was pull the E brake and leave the car in reverse for
about five minutes.
What does this do? In short, is it in reverse that the car relearns the idle settings?
Thanks!
Scott

try changing the fuel filter. I bet its pretty clogged and ready to be replaced. Who ever told your putting the e-brake on and going in reverse to re-learn the idle is smokin crack. Only thing going in reverse does is adjust the star dial on your rear drums. If you think its an idle problem, pull your throttle body and give it a good cleaning. Your Idle air valve is probably black as night along with your TB in general.

Yeah if your not using the cavy to mod it then they make for pretty good daily drivers.
