I have a "Fuel Error" readout on my display (Windstar '01). Also, the fuel guage went to "E". The vehicle has fuel, what could cause this???

Could be a bad sender unit or a wiring break.

I have the same message (03 Windstar).. it comes and goes.. but the fuel gauge still shows the correct level.. Any ideas
