01 Sc2?

When you put the car into reverse or in any of the drives the car shackes like crazy. But when the car is in park or neutral the car is fine runs nice and smooth. What could the problem be? I have been told the car mighty need a tune-up, or that it might be the torque converter.

have a friend shift through the gears and rev the engine(HOLD THE BRAKE HARD) while you look under the hood, some movement of the engine is normal, tilting and shaking to the point it looks like the engine wants to jump out of the car is not, if it does, chances are you have a bad engine mount, your car has 4, and i normally recommend replacing all mounts if one is bad.
