Ideas on some interior mods?

I want to spruce up the interior of my car but I am stumped at where to start and what to do. About the only thing I have now is some blue LED's under the dash on driver and passenger side, and I plan on getting my windows tinted soon. Also might be getting some led underbody lights, but that's exterior so I'll discuss that in the appropriate forum. I want to deck out my car inside and out so I'm looking for some suggestions. I saw in the exterior forum someone said something about pulling out the trim pieces in the interior and painting them with Krylon spray paint, that seems like a cheap and relatively easy thing to do that would look pretty cool. So if anyone knows anything about that, explain please, I'm not sure what color to go with and whatnot if I would do that. My car is a dark maroon 1996 Nissan Maxima, so I don't know what color would look good inside? I'm mainly looking for some cheap, easy mods but I don't mind spending money. I plan on spending a few $1,000 between the interior and exterior of my car. I'm mainly going for looks/cosmetics and audio with a little bit of performance mods. So please if you have any good interior mod ideas that are cool let me know what they are and how to do it, I'm sick of my car being boring inside, lol. Any help/suggestions are appreciated

You could do that but if you do make sure to sand and prime the trim pieces first so that the paint sticks and use thin even coats to prevent runs and bubbles. Another thing you could do is figure out what color scheme you want the outside to be and match the color scheme inside and have the headliner and sun visors done in that color. Another thing that you could do is pull off your door panels and get them recovered and remove things like arm rests.

If you decide to paint the interior make sure to clean it properly to prevent fisheyes and peeling. use a solvent cleaner and wet the panel and then dry immediately. if you dont have solvent rubbing alcahol works but not as good. Use Krylon fusion paint or if you use a regular spraypaint make sure u use adhesion promoter. bulldog makes good adhesion promoter and so does 3m, dont skimp and buy cheap crap cause it will look like cheap crap. bafore you paint scuff the surface with a scuff pad or 180 or 220 sandpaper. dont nake really deep scratches cause they wont fill. have fun :)

(you guys might have already said this stuff, i havent had time to read each post) Paint the accents. but don't go to accessive. racing seats would be good. neon under the seats is cheap and gives it a good show look. fiberglass the door panels is a pain but looks great. racing sterring wheel you can find em cheap. www.advancedjdmparts.com (http://www.advancedjdmparts.com) has the steering wheel and adapter for like 50 bucks. umm...moniters big addition. sunvisor, headrest(if you don't have racing seats), radio...umm anything else. lol sorry i'm rambling on. went to a sweet car show yesterday. tons of interior mods. o the diamondplate floor mats (great show look). and ya thats about all i got for now

89-325I you need to stop reviving threads that are old especially if you have nothing of any importance to add to the thread all it does is take up space on AF's servers instead of letting them be archived like they should.

He's done his fair share of damage on this site, that's why the word "banned" is under his username. Another old thread he's revived that's about to be closed.
