fluid leak

I have a 94 sable V6 3.8
within the last couple of days ive noticed fluid leaking out from the strapping on the gas tank. im sure its gas but it has a noticably yellow colour to it. the strapping is rusty so that may be where the yellow is coming from but i really dont have a clue. Can somebody help me out i dont want to get a new gas tank if its just a leak from a hose or somthing simpler like that. oh yeah ive determined that the leak is coming from the top half or above the tank and running down the strapping
