26.... the numbers i've seen in the thread dont reflect what i see in the poll which leads me to the conclusion that the older modelers post replies without using the poll and the younger modelers use the poll with out posting replies. i did both.

Oh god some of you guys are only a couple of years older than my daughter (13)!!!!
So I guess being 33 makes me an 'OLD FART' (not as old as P/Man though!!)
But you know what people say...

Ohmigosh I'm 41 but I'll be trying to not let it show too much :)
I just posted my first message so here's a bit of introduction:
my nickname is 'RX-7' pronounced the dutch way.
'guess that sums it up: I'm from Holland and I am fairly fond of Mazda RX-7's.
Apart from building (and collecting) car kits I also build a lot of small airplanes
(no glossy paint job to worry about :) )

More later,
-- Eric.

Thanks Stefan !
I don't have a digicam but I can make some crummy pics by hooking up my video cam to my PC-TV board
and grab frames. Not the greatest img quality though and last time I tried my car pics all ended
up looking weirdly deformed...

Hey SilverLotus340R, better be nice to the old farts:
they're the ones with all the old rare kits that they're never gonna build ;)
Nope I don't need a walker yet, the only time I may limp a bit is after I played PS2 Gran Turismo 3 all day
using my old Thrustmaster Arcade pedal set :D

Thanks Jay,
FAQ ? did I do an RX-7 FAQ ? :D
Hmm, maybe I better start calling it that...
Actually I do plan to put up some stuff on my site on how to model the various RX-7 types, there are some
unexpected pitfalls in some of the RX-7 kits.
The Tamiya FC is okay though, the engine block is the best 13B in the business, I even use that one in FD kits !

Is it the Tamiya FC Turbo ][ coupe you mentioned in the RX-7 FC Cabrio thread that you're building ?

Greetz,

I am 47, been into car models since i wa 10, seen the model industry grow in the sixties .....i was there during the model craze during the mid sixties what a rush.Built them all , pretty much, showrods were huge, and funny cars, and rail dragsters, but times have changed.
In the seventies and eighties there was a japanese company called
Entex, very high quality kist for there time.I have no regrets, I still love this hobby, its my passion.
