I have the opportunity to buy a 99 SL1 that doesn't have cruise control. Is it possible to add cruise from a donor (junk yard) vehicle. If so how hard will it be and what parts will I need to complete the job?

It would probably be very easy since every Saturn is built exactly the same and only the components are added or deleted as ordered. For this reason it was very easy to convert my old 94 SL from manual to power steering. All you need to do it make sure you get all the cruise control parts and wireing that one car is missing from the donor car, bolt it on, plug it in and you're good to go.

you can install cruise controls for these things. I have a 2001 sl1 with an aftermarket cruise on it. Look at JC whitney or something like that, and the kits will tell you exactly how to hook it up. If you can follow directions, and can use hand tools reasonably well, then you'll be ok.
