92 Sable won't start

having trouble with starting the car. checked battery cables got new and cleaned off corrosion still won't start have power but when I go to start everthing shuts down with no engine turnover with one click and its dead.
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!! could it be cellenoid? where is it located from the battery?
Auto zone said to hit it with hammer on the starter but don't know where that is.:uhoh:

Follow the large positive battery cable from the battery. It is connected to the solenoid. Then follow the other large cable from the solenoid to the starter. Make sure the battery is fully charged.

change your starter.....my sable did the same thing and it WAS the starter....
