Rear Cigarette Lighter Not Working

I went out and bought a portable dvd player and screens so the kids could watch their movies in the back and give me som peace and quiet out only to find that the rear cigarette lighter doesn't work at all. Did some of the 2000 3.8l not have them installed in the rear or if it's broken can someone please lend a hand as how to fix it or where to go to have it fixed? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give!!!

I removed the middle console and it appears that whoever had installed the XM radio had messed with the wires for the lighter. A set of 4 wires ran from inside the car, 2 black, 1 red and 1 white. The red and black ran from the front cig lighter and connected to the rear cig lighter. The other black and white wire were not connected at all. Nothihng was shown in my repair manual for this so I'm still looking for help. The fuses were good for the cig lighter but would any other fuses have anything to do with the problem??
