I think if your car was fixed up, like mentioned before, you would like it much more. I wouldn't mind owning a new mustang, I like them too, not as much as Fbodies, but definately my 2nd choice.

l love fbodies 10 times more than l love mustangs.. l sometimes defend fbodies on mustang forums and they all got so mad and attack me.

when l got the car the car had 6k miles (never registered or sold. owner of the dealer drove the car march thorugh june and he put those miles on)
now l got 6.5k miles on.. l am the first owner.

Well then doodad and not to argue with you just a question cause I see you say all the time how LS1 and mustangs and other cars are so much faster than LT1's. If you have issue's with your car and you know there are issue's with your specific car. Why do you claim based on your car that all those cars are so far superior if you don't have a healthy car with a decent ratio to base that on?. I think you shoud realize much like your opinion that others are just being made the same way, They are just that and no one has set exactly what everyone has to agree on when it comes to what equals fast or slow. To some people like I said 13 second 1/4 cars are slow. So to them LS1 F-bodys and Mustangs and the LT1 F-bodys that have gotten into the 13's stock are all slow. Its not a attack just someone's opinion. Nothing to get in a uproar about and I think the popular opinion was that your car is sweet so don't let the random person who may not think the Mustang is hot or a good car let you feel differently about "your" car. If you like it and thinks its fast, thats all that matters.

PS- I really really really do want to put 3.73's in doodad's car, why the hell does he have to live like 18 hours away.

Like Curtis, stock ls1's are slow to him whereas a stock ls1 to me would be fast cos I've daily driven a 3.8l for years...

I had my car nearly stock. I had a cai, catback and 3.73's and I was beating stock LS1's so your off your rocker if you think there is that big of a difference. Gears make a HUGE difference. 2.73's to 3.73's can easily equal 6 - 8 tenths in the quarter. Thats a major difference.

wow,doodad, just getting the optic will help TONS!! you want to get the car all tuned up befor you start slapping stuff on, so get that fixed first. IT is not to expensive, summit and jegs have some msd ones cheep.

i have 120,000 on a 305, and i smash that thing all the time, and i am going to do a lt1 cam and some heads and a diffrent intake. as long as you keep up on maintence on them they will last over 200,000. so fix your optic,lol. If your wife says no, then just slowly save up.

Put on a cai and catback if you don't already have one and then contact Bryan from www.pcmforless.com (http://www.pcmforless.com) for a performance tune and to program for the new gears. Then you will be teaching LS1's a lesson (in stock form anyway). From there it just starts getting fun but unless your rough on the engine like I was at the time. Your LT1 should have alot more life left in her. I wish I lived closer to you cause I can do a opti and install some gears in my sleep but for a beginner installing gears could be taking a big chance.

You know, let me think about this Doodad. I am serious that I want to install some gears for you and fix the opti but need to see if I can figure out a simple way for this to work out for both of us not to mention I am working on like 4 - 5 projects for myself and others at this time but will see if there is a way to get it all done.
